Do you take insurance?

We value the confidentiality and privacy of our clients and therefore, elected not participate with insurance panels. Insurances require that we provide a mental health diagnosis and submit a treatment plan in order to approve the number of sessions and determine how your time in therapy is spent. Furthermore, diagnosis and treatment plans become a permanent part of your medical record, which in turn, can make applying for life insurance or even a new health insurance difficult, as they can require an authorization to release information to view your entire medical record. When you don’t use your insurance, your information remains private. If you have out-of-network benefits and would like to submit your session fees to your insurance company on your own, we will be happy to provide you with an invoice.

Are the sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and psychotherapist. Information may not be disclosed without written permission except for:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. Therapists are required by law to report this to authorities immediately.

  • If a client intends to harm him or herself. Therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation to make sure they are safe. If the client does not cooperate, additional steps may be taken without their permission in order to ensure their safety.

  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to someone else. Therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim(s).

How long are your sessions?

The initial session may last up to an hour. After that, sessions are typically 45 – 50 minutes.

What are your fees?

Psychotherapy: $125 per 45 minute-session.
Nutritional Consultation: $150 first evaluation – follow up $90

We accept all forms of payment including cash, checks, PayPal, and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of each appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 24 hour cancellation policy applies to all appointments. Please, kindly inform us as soon as you know that you will not be able to attend your appointment. If you have an emergency, you may contact us and we can reschedule your appointment. Extenuating circumstances are considered when appropriate.
